June 22--Highmark Inc. will open its ninth Highmark Direct retail health insurance store in August with a store in Erie, the company said. The store, in the Kingswood Plaza, 5753 Peach St., will offer health insurance sales and member services. It will employ eight people. Highmark, the state's largest health insurer, has Direct stores in Harrisburg, Mechanicsburg, Lancaster, Easton, Monroeville, North Fayette, Ross and Mt. Lebanon.
